3. Eat an Anti-Inflammatory Diet

The biggest detrimental factor to the health of your joints is inflammation. Therefore, if you want to maintain the health of your joints, you should eat a diet that helps fight inflammation in the body.

The best way to do so is to eat foods that are rich in antioxidants. Such foods include dark fruits like blueberries and leafy green vegetables like kale.

Healthy fats that are rich in omega 3, whole grains, and nuts are also great foods to reduce inflammation in the body. Such a diet will also stave off arthritis which is the most dangerous condition to the health of your joints.

4. Be Strong

If you want to have healthy joints for the rest of your life, you have to strengthen them. It may sound obvious, but it is often ignored.

Resistance training is the best way to ensure that you become and stay strong. The good news is that there is a myriad of forms of resistance training including calisthenics, weight training, yoga, and Pilates, among others.

Your muscle strength goes a long way in helping you prevent joint damage and preventing injuries. A strong core and powerful legs will significantly help you prevent joint damage in your knees and back.
